Motherhood in the Pandemic: Navigating Identity, Trauma and Transformation - Live Recording of The May We Know Them Podcast with Hillary Thatch Dyson

  • Dear Strong Woman Virtual Event on Zoom USA (map)

The unspoken hardships of new motherhood are things less often discussed.  Grieving the woman you were before becoming a mother.  Unresolved childhood trauma that comes to the surface.  These experiences shape us, both as mothers and as women.

Hillary knows the struggle well.  Join us as she shares some candid insight through the lens of becoming a new mother during the pandemic.  We’ll unpack the myriad of challenges she faced, from the physical isolation and loss of traditional support structures to the emotional strain of balancing self-care with the demands of a newborn.

Our conversation will boldly address the oft-neglected topic of identity loss as a new mom. Hillary will share her motivation for retaining and reclaiming your identity as a woman, even as you fully embrace motherhood. The conversation will dive deeper as we explore how unresolved childhood trauma can hinder our understanding of our authentic selves, and how recognizing the signs of unresolved trauma can not only impact on our lives, but have a major impact on our parenting style.

In true #Strong Woman fashion, we’ve created space for you to see and be seen.  The first part of our event will be a discussion with Hillary, and the second part will be a chance for those who attend to join in on the conversation.

Let’s make space for the messy parts of our stories to be celebrated and supported. 🌟🎙️❤️
